CENTRE FOR PROGRAMME MANAGEMENT STUDIES
 

Centre for Programme Management Studies (CPMS) comprises of high profile conferences and training in UK and Nigeria.  From humble beginings, we have gone on to achieve international accreditation for our CPMS programs

 

Our first course was the Basic Monitoring & Evaluation (M & E) Course in Abuja, Nigeria in March 2009. The first Advanced M & E Course was organised in June 2009.The first International Programme Management Courses held in Leeds and Wakefield, UK in April 2011.

 

A total of 17 regular courses have been convened by FACTfinders CSL since 2009. Customised M&E courses specific to the needs of clients have also been organised for staff of different organizations, ministries and blue chip companies in Nigeria, and Africa: Yakubu Gowon Cente, Pathfinder Nigeria, TSHIP-USAID Project and Association for Reproductive and Family Health (ARFH).

 

Venues outside the UK and Nigeria are arranged upon request or on a basis of partnership with organisations resident in the host countries.

This 5 day intensive knowledge based training course for project staff, managers, executives will give you the tools and knowledge to create or manage a successful M&E system for your organization .

 

The objective is to to equip participants with the knowledge of the principles and application of monitoring and evaluation as a vital tool for managing programmes for result-oriented performance. The course also offers basic skills in data collection, analysis and report writing.  

 

By the end of the course, participants should be able to describe the what, when, where, who, which and how of M&E and the stages of programme managment cycle. They should be able to prepare a strategic project plan, a proposal or terms of reference for a M&E exercise and an evidence-based report.

ADVANCED
MONITORING & EVALUATION COURSE

18-22 Sep: VIPCG Professional Training Institute, Gwarinpa, Abuja, Nigeria.

The course is a 5-day practical skill-based training for persons who have a basic knowledge and experience of M&E and desire to develop further in the field or improve their employability for M&E jobs. Participants are equipped with essential skills that would enable them carry out a M&E exercise independently and confidently.

 

The first 3-days of the course is used for intensive tutoring and group work on the practice and management of M&E, with computer training in Excel and EPI-INFO statistical programs. The next 2-days, participants carry out an actual evaluation exercise; and are guided through all stages of the project work - from planning, data collection and processing, writing an evidence -based report and logical presentation of findings to the stakeholders.

 

Course fee covers tuition, training pack, daily tea break refreshments and lunch. 

INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMME MANAGEMENT COURSES
 

These are modular courses, including Programme Planning, Implementation and Coordination, Monitoring & Evaluation, Logistics, Change Management, Information Management and Research. The duration and course fees of the modules vary. Request for information when you apply.
